A new unit on the alphabet is now available. Along with the lesson plan and Can Do card are a couple of books - one using fun graphics and one using fun Unity icons to represent the letter sounds.
Also available is a new set of alphabet flashcards.
Our blog post this week was written by Dr. Bob Segalman. He discusses the FDA regulations for using the Speech to Speech Telephone Relay system.
Another really useful book was submitted by a mom who has a child with autism. She created a version of the “I Feel” book using photographs to help her son and graciously allowed us to post for all to use. We are so thankful to Laura Kane for sharing that with everyone.
A new resource was added this week called “Out and About: AAC in the Community”. This book is a wonderful guide on how to set up an AAC community group based on the four areas of linguistic competence written by Dr Caroline Musselwhite, Deanna Wagner and PRC’s own Jane Odom.
Finally, a new mobile lesson plan was added which complements the Numbers unit posted earlier this month. The app reviewed is called “Seasons” and has four games to help a student count, use core words and phrases.
Enjoy!
