My Month

Posted Oct 23, 2019 - 12:04pm

By Darryl Porter, PRC-Saltillo Blogger

A book fair asked me to take part in their book fair, because I have written some books.

There was a question and answer session.  A person asked me which month is my favorite.  I thought the question was very strange.  I queried, why.   They explained.

Then, I did answer them. My favorite month is November.  It has two special dates. November's two special dates are Thanksgiving and my birthday. I was born on 11/24, that was Thanksgiving.

There was a legend of my birth.  My mother started the labor of my birth during her cooking.  I joked about it that I could smell her cooking.  My mother, brothers and I had life-talks, she told my brothers and me,  "Each person should take some time for themselves from life."   Also a person could take any time for them on their birthday.  Birthdays are very paramount to every human being.  I think it.

I don't need to explain to the people about Thanksgiving. There is a poem to explain.

Thankful for the Moment

For every morning and the light

Fora ll the sceneries and the sight

For all the food that you give

For some skills to create

for the sorry and forgive

For the love and family

For everything to thee

Thank you Lord, for the superlative life!
