My Device

When people don’t understand what I’m saying I use my device to help me to speak with others . My device has helped me get my words out.  When I started using a device I would spell everything out. Now I’m using the icons to get faster. I love using my device to communicate with others! It allows me to have longer conversations, especially when I go to doctor appointments,  wheelchair appointments, the grocery store etc. These are places that I really use my device, i’m able to ask questions and answer questions this makes me more independent. Never give up on using your device to communicate with people.  I love having my device and I love teaching others how to use them. One should take into consideration when speaking to someone with a device that it will take them a little longer to reply so always be patient.
