Hi! My name is Roy Lycan and I am currently 17 years old. I got my first Accent 800 in 3rd grade. At that time I was able to use my hands. As I lost my mobility in my hands, the PRC-Saltillo consultant came and showed me other options for accessing my device. By trying all the options I found that eyegaze was the best option for me. I have been using an Accent 1400 with eyegaze for five years now. As I have still been learning how the eyegaze works with a external computer and I am still learning all the features that the software provides.
My interests include traveling, being outdoors and fishing. These interests have led me to enroll myself in the Boy Scouts of America. In this program I have earned the Tenderfoot rank, and I am working on my path to Eagle Scout.
I have faced many challenges over the years that I have been communicating with PRC-Saltillo devices. Now that I’m more aware of the capabilities of the software, I hope to show other people the potential that it holds.
