Hi Everyone, my name is Lauren Opipari and I was born in 1994. My favorite food is donuts. I live in Aurora, Colorado. I love dogs and currently have two dogs named Lilo and Wafer.
I love to go on trips and adventures. I have a hiking chair for hiking with my family, friends and dogs. One of my favorite places to visit is Hawaii. I love going to Aulani, the Disney Resort in Oahu - it is my happy place.
One interesting fact about me is that I collect Chuck Taylor shoes and Funko Pop figures.
I use an Accent 1400. I use a joystick to navigate my device instead of using a mouse. I have a button on the left side of my head which I click with my head and use it as my left click. What I love about my device is that it connects to my cell phone so I can text my friends and also talk to them on my phone.
One of my goals is to learn to speak Spanish and I love that I have a Spanish user on my device so I can work on this goal.
As an ambassador for PRC-Saltillo, I enjoy speaking in front of people to educate them about what it's like to use an AAC device and how it helps me in my everyday life.
