Pre-printed or spoken simple jokes (e.g., knock-knock)

Introduce April Fools’ Day and model jokes or funny words using AAC.
Encourage learners to take turns sharing a joke or reacting.
Model both participation (“I want joke”) and refusal (“Not me,” “No trick”) with AAC.
Use the MODELER approach—Model, Encourage, Respond—with aided language input and pauses.
