Wordle is a tool for generating “word clouds’ from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts and colors.

Plug in your AAC device and have the device user choose their favorite words to create a Wordle of their own. I did one with Unity 84 one hit vocabulary you can see: Wordles can be posted for all to enjoy. Simply go to www.wordle.net to get started using this free tool.

Another cool option is the tool Tagxedo. This is a Wordle tool that allows you to choose a specific design to display your words. www.tagxedo.com

If your device has a data logging option, you can also create a file from this data. Export the data into a .txt file. You will need to delete all time markings from this file before copying and pasting onto the site. For more information on data logging go to http://www.prentrom. com/support/article/401
