Introduction

As the summer sun slowly fades away and the leaves begin to transform into a vibrant mosaic of red, orange, and gold, the MLB baseball season is ending. there's a palpable sense of anticipation in the air. Fall, with its crisp breeze and cozy atmosphere, is a beloved season for many. It's a time to revel in the beauty of nature's transformation and indulge in a variety of heartwarming activities. In this blog post, we'll explore some of my favorite fall activities using my communication device and capture the essence of this enchanting season.

My baseball season

One of my favorite activities I do in the fall is play Buddy League baseball which gives people with special needs the opportunity to play baseball. I am pretty sure out of the people that are in my age  group, I am the only person  that uses an AAC device. It is hard to see the device in the bright sunlight but the convos we have on the field can be crazy. Some years my coach tabs me to keep the team in line because I technically can yell at everyone. Baseball can just  bring people together.

Twitchcon North America

Another one of my  favorite fall activities is  Twitchcon  North America is a convention to have the entire twitch community under one roof. If you don't know what twitch is. It's a streaming platform where gamers, musicians, or anybody can showcase their talents. The viewers can interact with the streamers by typing in a chat. Well last year’s twitchcon was in San diego. It was my first one to attend. I had no expectations on what the event was. I knew 4 of my celeb friends were coming so I knew I would have to get over the  nervousness of using an AAC device in a really crowded area. On the second day of the event I ran into all 4 of my friends and it was so cool to meet and talk with them. They had no clue what an AAC device was so it was nice to talk with my friends and show them a little of what an AAC is.

My third and last favorite activity is hanging out with local friends

Sure going to big conventions or playing baseball is fun but just hanging out at home and enjoying some friends and using the AAC device is nice too. Playing video games and talking  trash for hours is another way I usually use my  AAC device in the fall but that is usually not just in the fall. That is all year around. Doing Halloween costumes with friends is another thing that is fun. And with a AAC device you can change voices easily so you can be anyone that you want.

 Conclusion

Autumn is a season that enchants all of our senses with its rich colors, crisp air, and the promise of cozy moments spent with loved ones. From going to conventions  to baseball, and hanging with friends , fall offers a treasure trove of delightful activities that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and with an AAC device. So, do your favorite sweater, grab a hot beverage, and step outside to embrace the magic of fall. It's a season that never fails to inspire awe and gratitude for the beauty of nature and the simple pleasures of life.
