My First Talking Engagement

Last Tuesday, I got to go a state conference at Gardendale First Baptist. My mom and Mrs. Hauser went with me and I talked to high school students and their teachers.

I talked 3 times through out the day. I loved telling people about what all I do. My title of my presentation was called Dream Big. I said that you can do anything you if set your mind to do and don’t let you disability stop you.

I talked about how people looked at me and judged me before they even talk to me, I also said that some people just talk to my mom and not try to even talk to me.

I also talked about what all I have done like snow skiing and water skiing. I talked about the first time I walked and how I felt. I talked about how my family treated me like I was just a normal person. I talked about how I didn’t like everything. I did like playing power soccer.

I hoped that I motivated people and encouraged people to tryout new things that they have never done. I have more speeches lined up. I’m doing one at my elementary school and I also have one Graves hall at the University of Alabama on October 9th.
