AAC device fosters independence in my everyday life by assisting me with communicating with others.
My Direct Support Worker (DSW) communicates my needs and wants daily regarding my activities. In Addison, where I live, most of my time is spent playing computer games or listening to music. Meanwhile, I listen to music and dance the best way I know how. I write blogs and listens to music. I might doodle while listening to music to pass the time. I can recall writing a blog post that was about the salad I had for lunch the other day. Needless to say, the salad was a beautiful and it was a Halloween party design but it was plastic.
