Building Relationships

Posted Feb 7, 2025 - 12:35pm

by Matt Huggins, PRC-Saltillo Ambassador

I show my gratitude to my caregivers and loved ones by always saying thank you and saying I love them.  I also show my gratitude to them by giving them helpful reminders like when my nurse Bethany takes me to the movies I always say to her thank you very much I really enjoyed that movie. I always share movie recommendations to my caregivers.

I always ask my caregivers "How was your weekend? and how's your family?" I also show my gratitude by being patient with my caregivers. I think it is important because I think it is really difficult to retain good caregivers.

I have learned how to communicate my gratitude to caregivers and my loved ones. Gratitude comes natural to me. I always remember to show my gratitude to my caregivers and loved ones.
