The path you walk will stretch out, long and steep,
Your voice may falter, words a distant hum,
But your device, a beacon, clear and bright,
Will help you speak, to share your inner thought.
Stay sharp and focused, learn its every sign,
This journey needs your strength, your will to climb.
Don't let the mountain make your spirit dim,
The challenges will often feel so deep.
Each day a lesson, learning every line,
The AAC your partner, though it may be some
Time till fluency, till you feel you've fought
And won the battle, reaching for the light.
The progress slow, a flicker, then a bright
New word, a sentence, conquering the brim
Of silence, where your spirit was once caught.
