My favorite time learning in school was doing a narrative on Juliette Gordon Low. I chose this girl because I love being a Girl Scout. I got to use my eye gaze and laptop for this narrative with the help of my teacher, Ms. Emily. My favorite school subjects are reading and writing so this included both of these. I got to research on the internet about Mrs. Low and what she did with her life.
She was born in Savannah, GA on Halloween. My dad went to Savannah and brought me home a shirt! Juliette made Girl Scouts in 1912 and let all girls join. Her family called her Daisy. She got rice in her ear and she became deaf. She let girls with all abilities join even those with devices and power chairs. After her death, she was put on a postage stamp and inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame.
I like being a Brownie because it’s fun. My favorite is selling cookies because I like to talk to people using my device. I like earning badges because I learn new things. My favorite is my cooking badge. I love helping mom in the kitchen.
