Celebrate Disability Pride Month Poem

Posted Jul 2, 2024 - 4:43pm

by Darryl Porter, PRC_Saltillo blogger

My Accent 1400, my constant companion

A device that enables me to communicate without barrier

It helps me express my thoughts, my opinions

It bridges the gap between me and the world

It empowers me to celebrate my disability with pride, To honor my uniqueness and to embrace my abilities

My Accent 1400 is a symbol of freedom, It opens doors, it breaks barriers, it enables me to be heard, It amplifies my voice and it represents my strength.
