Hello my name is Hali Marie Whyland and I’m 35 years-old.
I grew up here in Albany until I was about five years old then we moved to Fayetteville where I went to school until I was 15 years old, then even though I lived in Fayetteville I was transferred to OCM Boces where I graduated.
I got my first communication device a few years ago, an Accent 1400, and it only took me a few months to learn how it works. My device has helped me speak up and be heard. I would like to go to college and study cooking.
I became a PRC-Saltillo Ambassador to face one of my greatest fears, and to make it easier for people to understand me, speaking in large group settings, and because I want everybody to learn from my story.
