• When you read the story again, ask the

person to read as many words as possible.

• Ask the person to make up his or her own

sentences using the target vocabulary.

• Create your own story using the same past

tense verbs. Add personal photos for

illustrations.

• Ask the person to find and say some other

past tense verbs
