Device Use in the Community

Posted Jul 14, 2021 - 12:13pm

Using your device in your community Since COVID-19’s requirements are lifted for most of the states, now is a good time to brush up on your AAC skills in your community. You might be rusty on your community skills since March 2019 because I know I am.

Like I said before preprogrammed pages are your friend and that holds true as well in this case. School is coming up and I recommend to program a page for each subject. For an example, for your math page your teacher’s name and order of options. One other example is when you are at a restaurant take initiative and tell the person who is taking your order to please give you a minute so you can order on your own using your talker.

I hope that you guys are having a wonderful summer. Remember find shade because your guy’s devices can overheat easily.
