Help students understand the importance of Earth Day by creating this word wreath.

 What you need:

construction paper

poster board

glue

markers


 What to do:

Cut out a variety of hands using blue and green construction paper.  

Cut out an circle shaped wreath out of poster board.  

Have students use their AAC device to name words associated with Earth Day and keeping the environment clean.  Examples might be: you, me, clean, pollution, recycle, save etc.  

Write each word on one of the hands and glue them on the circle to create a wreath.  Be sure to talk about why the student chose each word.
